Game Story

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Andre Savage scored a pair of goals, defenseman Bryan Allen had a goal and an assist and goaltender Alex Auld recorded the first point of his career as the Manitoba Moose defeated the Chicago Wolves, 6-3. Savage tallied an even-strength goal with 5:18 remaining in the first period and scored on the power play with help from Allen late in the third. Allen netted his fourth tally of the season three minutes after Savage in the first and Jason Cipolla scored unassisted midway through the second, giving Manitoba a 4-2 lead. Auld helped set up a shorthanded, empty-netter for Pat Kavanagh with 15 seconds left in the match for the Moose, who improved to 5-3-0 over their last eight. Auld stopped 28 shots for the win, improving to 4-1-0 over his last five starts. Defenseman Kurtis Foster, Kamil Piros and Bryan Adams each scored for Chicago, which had its four-game unbeaten streak snapped.
